FASTag is an electronic toll collection system operated by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways. FASTag is a reloadable tag which enables automatic deduction of toll charges and lets you pass through the toll plaza without stopping for the cash transaction FASTag is affixed to the windscreen of the vehicle and is linked to a prepaid account.

Toll payments are made through RFID, as the vehicle drives through the toll gate, which means you do not have to stop at a toll plaza on your journey. FASTag is a device that employs Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology for making toll payments directly while the vehicle is in motion. FASTag (RFID Tag) is affixed on the windscreen of the vehicle and enables a customer to make the toll payments directly from the account which is linked to FASTag. According to the NHAI's new criteria, the waiting time at toll plazas should not exceed 10 seconds.

Daily ETC transaction count touched over 1 Crore per day in Feb 2023.Daily ETC collection touched over Rs. 186 crore per day in February 2023. Over 180.94 lakhs fastag are issued in 2023 and we all are expecting more growth from 2023 as we know in 2024 in 2-month fastag issuance is near about 24.56 lakhs. In India there are 5104 fastag center where we can apply our fastag and there are many distributers which are available on toll plazas.
